Drew Barrymore rallied the gay and gay-loving crowd at the West Hollywood Day of Decision anti-Prop 8 rally earlier this week. A few friends and I marched the six and a half miles from West Hollywood to Hollywood and back and were treated to a sprinkling of D-listers and reality stars along the way.
First up - Haylie Duff. She was surrounded by an entourage of gays that looked ready to pounce on any media attention that was given to them. Sadly, there was none.
Then came Project Runway Season two contestant Santino Rice. Homeboy is tall. Like giraffe tall. The gays kinda flipped their shit a little when they saw him stroll by.
Also burning calories for gay rights were the string bean twins from Top Model Menstrual Cycle 7.
One of them is a gay but they were both out marching that night.
Cyndi Lauper made a guest appearance at West Hollywood landmark and overpriced gay drinking hole, The Abbey, this past Sunday. According to several reports, the gays lost they damn minds when Lauper she-bopped amongst them. One source tells me, "they were squealing, holding their faces, and bursting into tears." And that was just the dudes.
Lauper and a few pals carved out a little area in the back and proceeded to dance around for a lengthy period of time while looking cute and crazy.
